Meaningful Use Stage 2 Certification Achieved

February 1, 2016 //  by Staff Writer

IDA received “Meaningful Use Stage 2 Certification” from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This Certification demonstrates that IDA has met legal requirements needed to show that it uses Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) in a meaningful way for the enhancement of patient care.  IDA has been using an EMR for patient records since mid 2011, when it converted patients’ paper charts to electronic digital records as required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly called Obamacare.
